University names its new Washington, DC facility Delta Hall

UGA has received a commitment for a $5 million grant from the Delta Air Lines Foundation to support UGA in Washington. In recognition of the gift, UGA will name the university's new residential facility in Washington, D.C., Delta Hall. The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia formally approved the naming at its meeting on Feb. 11.

Private giving tops $126M, sets new fundraising record

UGA concluded its best fundraising year in history June 30, posting $126.4 million in new gifts and commitments for the 2014 fiscal year. This total reflects an 8 percent increase over last year's total of $117.3 million and marks only the second year that private giving to the university has exceeded $120 million.

Hollowell documentary inspires new generation at campus premiere

Hollowell, the civil rights attorney who fought to desegregate UGA, at the premiere campus screening of Donald L. Hollowell: Foot Soldier for Equal Justice at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel.
