It may come as a shock to those working in the profession, but being a college professor is the “least stressful job” for 2013, according to a report by job website Career Cast and an ensuing article by Forbes magazine.
Not surprisingly, that article has been met with considerable push-back from the academic world. After receiving hundreds of messages, in addition to a sizable uproar on Twitter, Forbes later posted an addendum to the original article, which detailed the many stresses that professors say they endure for a tough, but rewarding, job.
