University System vice chancellor for economic development named

The University System of Georgia appointed leaders for a number of positions last month both at the system and institutional level.

Chancellor Hank Huckaby named Mark Lytle the new USG vice chancellor for economic development. He will coordinate economic development efforts among USG’s 31 institutions.

Kyle Marrero, vice president for university advancement at the University of West Florida, Pensacola, was named the seventh president of the University of West Georgia. He will take over the position on July 1.

Huckaby also appointed Stas Preczewski to serve as interim president at Georgia Gwinnett College. Preczewski is currently GGC’s vice president for academic and student affairs.
