University Council changes drop/add period for May, summer courses

At its Nov. 20 meeting, the University Council voted to change the drop/add periods for summer courses.

The drop and add periods for the extended and thru session courses will begin on the first day of class and go through midnight of the fifth class day. For May, first and second session courses, the drop and add periods will begin on the first day of class and extend through midnight of the second class day.

The council also approved offering the existing major in workforce education (M.Ed. and Ed.S.) as external degrees on the Griffin campus. A proposal to offer the human resource and organizational development (M.Ed.) as an online program also passed.

A dual degree in business administration (MBA) and health policy management (M.P.H.) was approved, and a proposal to offer a new online post-baccalaureate certificate in classical languages was agreed to by the council.
