UGAAlert test planned for Sept. 22

In conjunction with National Preparedness Month, a campus-wide test of UGAAlert, the university’s mass emergency notification system, is scheduled for Sept. 22 at 12:15 p.m.

During the test, the phone number reflected on caller ID will be (706) 542-0111. Those with caller ID are encouraged to program this number into their cell phone so it will display as a UGAAlert emergency call in the future.
Prior to the test, UGAAlert participants are asked to update their contact information at www.ugaalert.uga.edu.

A link to a brief survey will be posted on the UGAAlert home page after the test. All members of the UGA community are encouraged to participate in this survey. The feedback
will provide information that will be used to better prepare the campus community during emergencies.

UGAAlert is used to send emergency messages to the UGA community when immediate action is needed due to life threatening emergencies.
