The 2010 Southeast Regional Society for Developmental Biology meeting will be held May 21-23 at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel. The annual meeting, hosted this year by the UGA Interdepartmental Developmental Biology Group, rotates among participating universities in the southeast region.
This year’s meeting will cover multiple aspects of plant and animal developmental biology research.
In addition to keynote addresses from distinguished developmental biologists, the meeting includes educational and poster sessions, and platform sessions on a variety of themes including embryonic patterning, organogenesis, gene regulation and genetic networks, and stem cells and microenvironments.
Meeting organizers include genetics faculty members Nancy Manley (principal organizer), Julie Gordon and Doug Menke; Scott Dougan, Jim Lauderdale and Cordula Schulz, all of the department of cellular biology; and graduate student representatives Brian Jordan, department of poultry science, College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences; and Qiaozhi Wei, department of genetics.
