UCLA group claims political bias

An independent alumni group at the University of California at Los Angeles offered students $100 for their full lecture notes, classroom materials and tape recordings of class sessions in an attempt to find political bias in the classroom.

Andrew Jones, a 2003 graduate of UCLA and leader of the Bruin Alumni Association, claims the university fosters “radical” professors and “political extremism.”

According to UCLA officials, the university supports the right to free expression. They add that students who give the group course materials without the consent of both the professor and the chancellor are directly violating university policy.
