U. of Antelope Valley offers to pay employers to hire its graduates

In an effort to bolster both the local economy and its own reputation, the University of Antelope Valley is offering to pay employers up to $2,000 for each UAV graduate they hire, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.

In order to be eligible for payment, employers must hire graduates of the for-profit school during September and graduates must be hired in a field in which they studied. UAV, based in Lancaster, Calif., was founded in 1997 to serve its local community through the delivery of quality career-specific certificate, undergraduate, graduate and continuing educational programs.
