The Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company of Salt Lake City, Utah, will be in residence Oct. 15-17 at the dance department.

The residency will include the performance of a newly choreographed piece by Charlotte Boye-Christensen, the dance company’s artistic director.

In addition to master classes, the six members of the dance company will take part in lecture-demonstrations that will be open to the public on Oct. 16 from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m. and 12:30-1:45 p.m.

The dance company also will give a public performance on Oct. 17 at 8 p.m. in the New Dance Theatre, located between Soule and Green streets across from the South Campus parking deck.  General admission tickets to the performance are $15, and tickets for UGA students and senior citizens are $10. Advance tickets may be purchased online at tate.uga.edu/tickets or at the Tate Center box office, 706-542-8579.

Primary support for the residency is provided by a grant from the Jane and Harry Willson Center for Humanities and Arts.
