Report: One-fourth of ACT-tested high school grads are college ready

Twenty-six percent of high school graduates who took the ACT were deemed to have met the exam’s “college readiness benchmark” in all four of the tests subjects-English, reading, math and science-according to a report released by the creators of the college admissions exam.

When broken down by subject matter, the ACT report said 64 percent of test takers were college ready in English, 44 percent in reading, 44 percent in math and 36 percent in science.
