Priority purchase period opens Aug. 18 for upcoming Performing Arts Center season

Beginning Aug. 18, the Performing Arts Center will offer UGA faculty, staff and students a priority purchase period to order tickets for the upcoming 2008-2009 season. Tickets will go on sale to the general public Aug. 25.

The internationally acclaimed Performing Arts Center presents a season of seven different series, showcasing the finest music, dance and entertainment from around the world. The 2008-2009 season offers an outstanding lineup including the Vienna Choir Boys, Ballet Flamenco José Porcel, the Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Male Choir of St. Petersburg in its first U.S. tour, the Song and Dance Ensemble of West Africa and the dynamic Seán Curran Dance Company founded by an original member of Stomp!

The Performing Arts Center opens the season on Sept. 21 with the Georgia Guitar Quartet, four UGA graduates who have become established professional musicians, garnering fans and critical acclaim from coast to coast.
