Princeton freshmen may spend their first year of college abroad

Freshmen entering Princeton University may opt to spend what would be their first year of college doing service work abroad, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.

The university created a working group to draft an outline for what it calls a “bridge year” that would allow at least 10 percent of its incoming freshman class to travel abroad tuition-free and with financial aid.
