Police raid Mexican teaching colleges

Mexican police raided three teacher colleges this month after students hijacked school buses and delivery trucks, according to an Associated Press report.

Students, who reportedly fought back against police in some instances using rocks and fireworks, were protesting curriculum changes requiring them to learn English and take computer science courses.

The AP reported there have been instances of similar unrest at other Mexican college campuses in recent months.
