Patterson Hood to host benefit for Grady College’s Osborne Classic Film Festival

Drive By Truckers’ Patterson Hood will host a Nashville-style songwriter-in-the-round
performance at the 40 Watt Club on Feb. 24 at 10 p.m. to raise money in support of Robert Osborne’s Classic Film Festival.

All concert proceeds will support the sixth annual film festival, set for March 25-28 at the Classic Center.

Joining Hood on stage will be Don Chambers, Daniel Hutchens (Bloodkin), Dave Marr (Star Room Boys), William Tonks and David Barbe. John Neff and Brad Morgan will provide backing for all.

Tickets, $10 in advance at www.40watt.com, will be available at the door for $12 on the night of the performance. The 40 Watt Club is located at 285 W. Washington St.

For the four-day film festival, the 2,000-seat Classic Center theatre will be transformed into a world-class movie palace with the installation of a motion picture screen and state-of-the-art 35mm projection and sound systems. Most prints will be pristine archival 35mm prints.
