UGA faculty, staff and student workers have shown overwhelming support for securing the university’s information and data, according to officials in EITS. The final numbers are in for the Nov. 30 compliance deadline, and nearly 90 percent of those required to take the ten SecureUGA awareness modules have complied.
SecureUGA is an information security education and awareness program that includes mandatory, self-paced online awareness presentations. In 2008, all employees, including student workers, were required to complete the first four awareness modules.
This year, all employees, including student workers, were required to complete all ten of the SecureUGA awareness modules.
