UGA program receives national excellence award for student affairs

The National Association of Student Personnel Administrators recognized UGA’s Learning and Development Objectives Initiative as a NASPA Excellence Award Bronze winner in the category for administrative, assessment, information technology, fundraising, professional development and related issues.

NASPA’s Excellence Awards were created to showcase institutions deemed models of the organization’s goal of educating the whole student and integrating student life and learning.

“UGA’s selection as the bronze award winner is a testament to the dedication and commitment that the institution has to providing high quality student affairs programs on campus,” according to NASPA officials.

The organization has a membership of 12,000 throughout 1,400 campuses in 29 countries.

“The NASPA Excellence Awards program continues the organization’s tradition of recognizing institutions and program that maintain the high standards and quality programing to which all institutions should aspire,” said Jordan Dungy, executive director of NASPA.
