Montana State U. faculty to unionize

Both full- and part-time faculty members at Montana State University in Bozeman have voted to join a union, erasing their standing as the lone non-union public college in the state, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.

Tenured and tenure-track faculty will form one union, while adjunct faculty will form another. All prior attempts were voted down. The vote was close among tenured faculty, 168-156, while part-time members voted almost 2-to-1 in favor of unionizing by 101-51.
