MIT is putting course material online

MIT is making its course material available via the Internet through its OpenCourseWare program, and according to The Chronicle of Higher Education, the material will soon be available in Chinese as well as English.

Lucifer Chu, a Taiwanese man who translates English science fiction novels into Chinese, has taken on the task of translating MIT’s online instructional materials.

The university has stated that all course material will be posted online in English by the end the year. At present, Chu has completed the translation of 178 courses with the help of four editors and many volunteers.
