Big-box giant Walmart has signed an agreement with Georgia Tech to open a store on its campus in Atlanta, according to the student newspaper Technique.
The store, which is set to move into a retail space that once housed a restaurant, will be only the second of the experimental Walmart-on-Campus stores in the country. The first is at the University of Arkansas.
Once complete, the Georgia Tech Walmart-on-Campus may become the smallest Walmart in the nation. The store is expected to serve as a pharmacy, grocery and general merchandise store.
