Judge sides with Georgia State U. in copyright case injunction

A U.S. District Court judge rejected an injunction from three scholarly publishers who have—mostly unsuccessfully—sued Georgia State University. The publishers were seeking to impose tough guidelines on professors trying to offer free online course readings to students from portions of copyrighted material.

In May, Judge Orinda Evans also ruled in favor of GSU in most of the alleged violations made against the university by the publishers.
