The TRIO website allows users to learn about federal outreach programs that UGA operates to motivate and support students from disadvantaged backgrounds, with emphasis on low-income, first-generation college students and students with disabilities.
Talent Search provides academic, career and financial counseling and encourages students to graduate from high school or reenter the educational system and continue on to postsecondary education. Upward Bound provides support to high school students from low-income families in which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree. It provides opportunities for students to succeed in pre-collegiate performance and in their higher education pursuits.
