Guide offers data about state’s counties

UGA’s Cooperative Extension and Carl Vinson Institute of Government have published the 2012 edition of the Georgia County Guide.

The book is filled with detailed county-level and state data related to agriculture, crime, economics, education, government, health, housing, labor, natural resources, occupations, population, public assistance, transportation and vital statistics. It covers everything from arrest numbers for violent crimes to household income, water use to causes of death by county.

It covers all 159 counties in Georgia and population data for each municipality in the state. The book is organized into tables and also contains maps and charts. The data was compiled from approximately 90 federal, state and private agencies.
