University Union will present a discussion by Valerie Plame Wilson, author and former CIA operations officer, April 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Chapel. Wilson is author of Fair Game: My Life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House, her account of the events surrounding her exposure as a CIA spy. On July 6, 2003, four months after the U.S. invaded Iraq, former ambassador Joseph Wilson’s editorial piece, “What I Didn’t Find in Africa,” appeared in The New York Times. A week later, journalist Robert Novak revealed in his newspaper column that the ambassador’s wife, Valerie Plame Wilson, was a CIA operative.
