Firm picked to build Terry learning center

At its January meeting, the University System of Georgia Board of Regents approved the hiring of the Atlanta firm Hardin Construction to build the planned first phase of the Terry College Business Learning Center. The project, authorized by the regents in October, will house classrooms and support offices for Terry College. The facility is being funded through private donations.

The regents also agreed to restore $16 million in construction features for the Veterinary Medical Learning Center, for which ground was broken in November. In addition, the regents voted in favor of aligning the Skidaway Institute of Oceanography with UGA and approved funding to extend graduate medical education to Athens Regional Medical Center and St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.
