Employers to hire 13.5 percent more new college graduates in 2011

The National Association of Colleges and Employers released statistics predicting that hiring of just-graduated college students is about to pick up, The Chronicle of Higher Education reported.

The association’s Job Outlook 2011 fall preview, which surveys 197 employers across the nation, shows that businesses will likely hire 13.5 percent more new graduates from the class of 2011 than from the class of 2010. While these figures are preliminary, the association plans to update its projections throughout the year, the Chronicle reported.
