Departments of entomology, plant pathology to host insect zoo, exhibition

The entomology and plant pathology departments in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences are holding an open house and art exhibition, respectively, on April 5 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Miller Plant Sciences Building. Both events are open free to the public.

The UGA Bug Dawgs in the entomology department will host the 28th annual Insect Zoo open house on D.W. Brooks Drive mall. The open house will feature a photo booth, live bug exhibits, roach races, a butterfly release, face painting, insect painting and other arts and crafts.

The plant pathology department will host the “Ag and Art” exhibition on the second floor of the plant sciences building. Visitors also can step into one of plant pathology’s teaching labs and learn about plant diseases.
