Dartmouth picks new president

Jim Yong Kim, a physician known for his work in the global campaign against AIDS, has been named the new president of Dartmouth College, according to The Chronicle of Higher Education. On July 1, Kim will succeed James Wright, who announced his resignation after 11 years as president. Kim is chairman of the department of global health and social medicine at Harvard Medical School, where he earned his M.D. He also received a MacArthur Foundation “genius” grant in 2003.
