Creative writing sponsors reading at Cine

Poet, memoirist and musician Damon Krukowski will hold a reading Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. in the Cine Lab located at 234 W. Hancock Ave.

Sponsored by UGA’s creative writing program, the reading is free and open to the public.

Krukowski is the author of Afterimage, The Memory Theater Burned and 5000 Musical Terms.

He and his partner, Naomi Yang, run the press Exact Change, which specializes in writings associated with the historical avant-garde. THey also are musicians – performing currently as Damon & Naomi and formerly as two-thirds of the indie rock band Galaxie 500. Krukowski lives in Cambridge, Mass., and works at the Peabody Essex Museum.
