Computerworld’s Honors Program recognizes New Media Institute at UGA

UGA’s New Media Institute, an interdisciplinary unit of the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, was recognized as a laureate by Computerworld‘s Honors Program.

The NMI received a gold medal for its wireless initiative in downtown Athens-the WAGZone (Wireless Athens Georgia Zone)-during the 18th annual Laureates Medal Ceremony and Gala held earlier this month at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

In print since 1967, Computerworld offers a weekly publication, a Web site (www.computerworld.com), conference series and custom research.
