The College of Pharmacy is celebrating American Pharmacists Month with the 11th annual Dawgtoberfest: Rx for Good Health on Oct. 16 from noon to 3 p.m. on the lawn of the Pharmacy South building.
Sponsored by Walgreens and the UGA Parents and Families Association, the health promotion event will include free health screenings, food and T-shirts as well as discounted flu shots to all attendees.
Free rapid cholesterol testing, diabetes assessments and blood pressure checks also will be available. Additionally, student and faculty from student health groups across campus will staff information booths.
