Arkansas to let colleges decide on campus concealed gun policies

Arkansas legislators passed a bill in February allowing colleges to decide whether to allow faculty and staff to carry concealed handguns on campus, according to a story by The Associated Press. If signed into law, governing boards of public and private colleges and universities will decide whether to ban concealed handguns campus wide or in specific parts of campus or buildings. Schools that choose to disallow concealed weapons will be required to revisit the decision each year.
