The Office of Academic Planning has relocated to the Bank of America building in downtown Athens. This move, which was recommended by a support unit review team in 2009, joins the OAP staff responsible for planning, accreditation and assessment with colleagues in the Office of Institutional Research, a unit of OAP that has long been housed in the Bank of America building.
Two new staff members also have joined the office. Maggie Parker, previously of the Office of the Vice President for Instruction, joins the staff as assessment specialist and will provide survey support for program and administrative support unit review. Leslie Gordon, previously the assistant to the vice president for instruction, joins the office as associate director for assessment. Gordon will work with faculty and administrators to support student learning outcomes assessment of general education, undergraduate majors, graduate programs and other programs.
