$20 million grant aims to increase job preparation for high schoolers

The Council of State School Officers and JP Morgan Chase & Co. are teaming up to provide almost $20 million in grants to 10 states to boost career preparation in high school, according to a U.S. News & World Report article.

The goal is to increase the number of students who graduate from high school with necessary skills to immediately fill positions that don’t require advanced degrees. Each of the states, including Rhode Island and Kentucky, will receive $2 million to help train students for available jobs.
