Young Dawg work sites needed

The Young Dawgs Program, coordinated by Human Resources, is in need of university work sites to place 50 local high school students in unpaid internships from 8 a.m.-noon Mondays to Thursdays running June 8-July 15.

The students primarily would be rising high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors.

Young Dawg interns participate in a rigorous application process prior to placement, including meeting academic criteria and interviewing with prospective supervisors.

The goals of the program include improving the local graduation rate, preparing a workforce for UGA, recruiting potential students for UGA and providing high school students with broader opportunities within their career interests.
