Web developers seminar

Jason Orrill will provide an overview of the Application Solutions Group (formerly Applications Support Group) Jan. 29 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Training and Development building.

The seminar will focus on 1) what it means to be a “cost-recovery” group, the kinds of services ASG provides and how you might be able to work with the group and 2) what development tools and methodologies ASG uses in its application development. Orrill will specifically discuss BAMF and APOJEE, which are frameworks/libraries that the group has standardized on for its PHP and Java development.

Hosted by the Campus Web Developers, an on-campus organization focused on sharing tips, techniques and advances in Web development, the lunch-and-learn session is open free to members of the UGA community but pre-registration (www.terry.uga.edu/dweebs/lunch_signup/) is required. The deadline to register is Jan. 22.
