An article in the Jacksonville, Fla. based Florida Times-Union quoted Sue Finkle, curator of the UGA Aquarium at Skidaway Island. The article covered the story of Joey the loggerhead sea turtle, who was rescued, brought back to health and released in the Atlantic Oceans after gaining considerable size and weight.
“He’s 120 pounds,” said Finkle, who was the original keeper for the formerly scrawny Joey. “I would not have recognized him.”
