Tina M. Harris received 2005 Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award

Tina M. Harris, an associate professor of speech communication, received the 2005 Scholarship of Teaching and Learning Award from the University System of Georgia Board of Regents. The recognition also included $5,000 and a certificate of achievement.

Harris’s research interests concern qualitative methodology, interracial communication and racial identity construction.

Her professional service includes being on several editorial boards for a wide variety of academic journals. She is co-author of Interracial Communication: Theory to Practice.
