Super Tuesday

Charles Bullock, the Richard B. Russell Professor of Political Science in the School of Public and International Affairs, was quoted in an article in The Economist about a “Southern Super Tuesday.” The plan would have Georgia and a slew of other southern states hold their presidential primaries March 1, 2016.

Bullock, who also is a Meigs Professor, told the publication that any candidate who struggles to win in the South will have little hope of winning the White House.

He also said that having a large southern primary vote is “very much worth” it for Jeb Bush.
