Summer OLLI classes

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UGA, formerly Learning in Retirement, is offering 25 classes this summer. All of the classes last one to five days and are in July with no final exams. Topics include film appreciation, packing light, photography and learning Facebook. Some courses are free and others cost $6, $12, $18 or $24. Registration forms are available at www.olli.uga.edu or from the organization’s newsletter. The mail registration deadline is June 15.

OLLI also will host a discussion on “Aging in Place” July 1 at 1:30 p.m. at the Athens-Clarke County Library, 2025 Baxter Street. Elaine Cress, a UGA professor of kinesiology, will speak on planning to age at home, with children or in a live-in health care facility.

On-site summer class registration is available July 1 at 3 p.m. immediately following the aging discussion at the Athens-Clarke County Library. For more information call (706) 549-7350 or visit www.olli.uga.edu.
