Sick of ads

Matthew Perri III, a professor of clinical and administrative pharmacy, was quoted in a Redbook article about the oversaturation of medical information such as ads that are aimed at patients. The most helpful ads are the ones that simply describe a condition without naming a drug, he said.

“When somebody’s sick, they really do tune in to these ads, much more so than the general public,” Perri said. “In that case, these ads can be very informative.”
