SCA information sessions

A representative from the Student Conservation Association will be on campus Nov. 2-6 to talk about the organization.

A national conservation force of college and high school volunteers who protect parks and restore the environment, SCA has offered, since 1957, expense-paid internships in such fields as ecology, biology, wildlife management and fire management. Its members work every day as rangers, researchers and educators through these hands-on experiences.

Tamara Paul, SCA’s Southeast recruiting representative, will hold open information sessions for interested students on Nov. 2 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. in Room 252 of Baldwin Hall and from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in Room 212B of the Geography Building. It is also possible to schedule by e-mail (sca_visit@thesca.org) a meeting or class presentation about SCA.

More information about SCA is available online (www.thesca.org).
