Sally J. Zepeda receives award

Sally J. Zepeda, a professor in the College of Education’s lifelong education, administration and policy department, received the Paula Silver Case Award from the University Council for Educational Administration during its annual convention recently in Washington, D.C.

Zepeda’s case study, “Communication and Trust: Change at the Onset of Appointment to the Superintendency,” was identified as the most outstanding case published in 2013 by the Journal of Cases in Educational Leadership. She shares the award with R. Stewart Mayers of Southern Oklahoma State University, who co-authored the study. Mayers is a UGA doctoral graduate.
