Rodney Mauricio, an associate professor of genetics in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences, received $50,000 from Traditional Medicinals Foundation for a study to be conducted by postdoctoral researcher Eleanor Kuntz on the population and quantitative genetics of senna, a plant native to Asia that is used for its medicinal properties.
