Revised fundraising policy

Due to more stringent income reporting requirements by the IRS, UGA’s policy and procedure regarding fundraising events has been revised and expanded.

The new policy and procedure is located online at www.externalaffairs.uga.edu/forms/FundraisingPolicyProcedure121409.pdf.
Any proposed fundraising event expected to generate revenue and/or gifts involving either the Arch Foundation or the UGA Foundation will require prior approval from the Office of the Senior Vice President for External Affairs.

To better account for this revenue and/or gifts and comply with IRS reporting requirements, a new “Event Approval” form will need to be completed and submitted per the guidelines.
