The UGA Retirees Association will honor UGA faculty and staff who retired between June and December of 2006 at a reception Dec. 12 from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education Conference Center and Hotel. UGARA members and the new retirees being honored are invited to attend. Provost Arnett C. Mace Jr. will present the new retirees with certificates during the reception.
UGARA was established in 1992 as a way to keep retirees connected with the university. The association provides retirees with volunteering opportunities at the university and arranges fellowship events and educational workshops for retirees to attend.
