Sedentary women ages 30-65 are being sought to participate in an eight-week study examining the effects of a protein or carbohydrate diet and/or an interval training exercise program on metabolic syndrome risk factors.

With successful completion of all testing, participants  in “The E-PHIT Study: Eggs, Protein and High-Intensity Training: A Diabetes Prevention Program for Women” can earn up to $100 and a free three-month trial membership at the UGA Fitness Center, located in the bottom floor of the Ramsey Center in the department of kinesiology. The center offers group classes and personal training.

For more information or to participate, contact Rachelle Acitelli at 706-389-0272 or ephitstudy@gmail.com.
