Lance Haynie, associate director of programs in the recreational sports department, became president of the Association of Outdoor Recreation and Education Jan. 1. He has served on the AORE board since 2014, including as president-elect last year. In his new role, Haynie provides leadership to the board, executive committee and the more than 700 members of AORE across the country.
Kellie Gerbers, assistant director of outdoor recreation in the department of recreational sports, was elected to serve as secretary of AORE. Her term will last through 2018. Last year, she was selected to serve on AORE’s board of directors.
