Questionable science

Wayne Parrott, a professor of crop and soil sciences in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, questioned a study linking celiac disease and gluten sensitivity to genetically modified foods, according to the food and beverage news site Food Navigator USA.

In the story, Parrott is quoted as saying the report is based on “deeply flawed” studies and failed to cite the “more than 1,000 studies that have been published in refereed journals and which show that GM crops are as safe as their counterparts.”
