Picture Your Pet 2012 Asa-h.portrait
Asa was a 1-year-old pound puppy when we met at the Athens-Clarke County Animal Control in 1999.  Thirteen years later

After a hiatus of a few years, the College of Veterinary Medicine’s Teaching Hospital’s Picture Your Pet contest returned this fall. Nearly 250 entries were submitted of photogenic pets displaying ranges of emotion: pensive and playful, sweet and sassy, inquisitive and engaging. Following a review by a panel of judges, 34 photographs were identified as winning entries. The final prints will be displayed in the teaching hospital and the Community Practice Clinic. A slide show of the winning entries is online at www.vet.uga.edu/go/photo-contest.php. While there was no one winner in any of the respective categories-cats, dogs, horses/ponies and miscellaneous pets (ie: birds, reptiles, hamsters/guinea pigs, llamas, etc.)-the photos above are a representative sample of the winning entries.
