Distance coach Patrick Cunniff has been named the Men’s Coach of the Year for the South region of the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Cunniff, who is in his second year directing the university’s distance program, led the team to a one-point victory over Florida to capture the NCAA South Regional title and clinch a spot at the NCAA cross country championships.
